PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: January 9, 2026
At Flickle, we believe that playing a daily movie guessing game should be fun, safe, and private. We built Flickle as a privacy-first Wordle for movies, meaning we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
This policy explains how we handle information while you enjoy our movie frame guessing game.
01. What Data Do We Collect?
The short answer: Almost nothing.
Unlike a typical movie guessing game that requires accounts or logins, Flickle works entirely on your device. When you play our daily movie puzzle, we do not log your IP address, we do not ask for your email, and we do not track your location.
02. Local Storage (No Cookies)
To make Flickle function as a seamless Framed alternative, we use a browser feature called "Local Storage" instead of invasive tracking cookies.
We use Local Storage for one purpose only: To save your game progress.
- Your current streak in the daily tv guessing game.
- Which frames you have already seen when you try to guess the movie.
- Your win/loss statistics.
03. Analytics
Our goal is to provide the best guess the movie from picture experience on the web. To ensure the site is working correctly, we may use privacy-preserving analytics (like Vercel Analytics) that do not identify you personally. We just want to know if people enjoy the tv show guessing game mode or prefer movies, so we can improve the content.
04. TV Shows & Series
The same privacy standards apply to our expanded modes. Whether you are here to guess the tv show or trying to guess tv series from picture clues, your interaction remains private. We do not track which specific shows you guess or fail.
05. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data (PII) such as names, emails, or IP addresses, we do not have a database of users to "export" or "delete." You are already completely anonymous while playing this daily movie puzzle.
